Inspired by the journalists I’m in touch with these past few months, I’m changing the way I approach creating videos. Since 2016, I’ve produced video blogs or “vlogs” which mainly document my life in Singapore. Now, I’m challenging myself to writing and producing content about people, advocacy, and current events.
Here is my first ‘Feature Story’ and I hope to produce more of these in 2021:

Describing the current pandemic as stressful is an understatement.
Working from home, social distancing, hands that constantly smell like rubbing alcohol… these are the new normal.
I filmed this episode to capture what it feels like during this time (March 15, 2020 to be exact, as news about the pandemic changes quickly). I share what’s happening in Singapore from my point of view. Plus, I talk about what I’ve been doing to cope with the situation. Everything is based on my experience and it is not intended as professional advice.
I guested on one of Kenn Delbridge’s podcast programs. We connected on LinkedIn and he invited me to share tips on how freelancers can utilize the platform. I’ve been in content production for years but I’ve never recorded a podcast before!
Splice Studios is located at Cendex Centre which, coincidentally, is two blocks from where I live. After going through a temperature check, I was at his studio. It’s a lovely space that reminded me of the sound studios I visited years ago when I was a producer.
Great to meet Kenn in person. No handshakes! We started the recording soon after. I was thrilled to share my experience about using LinkedIn. Our podcast discussion went on to marketing and career pivots. You can hear the rest in the podcast below.
Thank you Kenn for the opportunity. (And for letting me take a peek at your studio!)
